Found a useful tip that may help anyone struggling with getting the wheel bearings out. I had very little space to strike the offside bearing with a drift, the spacer tube just couldn't easily be moved to the side. An M10 rawl bolt stud type tightened into the middle of the bearing gave me something to strike and after a few whacks with a bit of heat was able to shift the bearing and spacer enough to then remove it as you normally would.
