would anyone know what size hex (across the flats) I need to make a tool to hold the front fork damper rods to unscrew the bolt?

600 Divvy (the single disk version at least) = 25mm 900 Divvy = 27mm (unless anyone contradicts me!)
Though I've managed without before now. A quick shock with an impact driver can usually loosen it without any special tool.

I have always used an air impact driver, or now a electric impact driver.
