Here we go, the sign-up sheet for the annual Jan Jolly, a ride around Oxfordshire & wherever the u-turns take bobh . Sunday 8th January 2017. Meeting place: H Cafe Berinsfield Oxford Road OX107LY Opens at 9am so time for a hearty breakfast. Depart 10:30 sharp for a ride of approx 140 miles, some details of which may or may not appear in a run details thread at some point . Aiming to finish around 4:30pm at a pitstop providing tea & coffee, close to major routes. I have limited space to accommodate distance travellers, for an overnight stop. PM me if interested. No promises! Successful applicants may need to cozy-up! There's also plenty of local accommodation in Wantage for anyone wanting to sample the various delights of an evening in Wantage with me on the Saturday night. Please reply on this thread if you will in all likelihood be coming along. (Say if you're coming on the Saturday, so we can meet up). Martin.

I hope to make this run too, but it will depend on the weather. Will do Fiascos 'bin lid' test, as we have the last two years.
if you want company on the trial run, let us know. leatherbabes D6 could use a thrashing.

I have the makings of a route planned, based on one I did in the summer for another group.
I'll try to get a recce organised around the New Year hols - watch this space.

As last year, if anyone is planning to stay over in the Wantage area tomorrow night, and would like a taxi service to a hostelry for food/drink/natter, let me know (by p.m. if you wish to be secretive about it) and I'll be happy to oblige. I've got to get the car out anyway to ferry my neighbours to a pub nearby.
Recce'd the post-lunch section today - started out dry, then it wasn't, so possibly not the most enjoyable ride of the century. In fact, when I got home I checked the rain radar playback for the previous two hours, and it appears that a nasty orange blob had been hovering over me for the last 40 miles or so of the ride - obviously my timing was wrong. But at least I've found some nice little single-track that Martin would be proud of.
