I am replacing ignition switch on my XJ600N. I have take the metal bracket off the top off the forks, but I have 2 washer/connectors that I don't know how to undo to get the new ignition switch installed. Photos attached are self explanatory. I'm sure this is an easy job , but I'm not sure what tool/technique to use to release the old switch so thtat I can install the new switch. Thanks Duncan

I think you're referring to the shear bolts. Only way out is either to drift them round using a punch, or drill them out. There as a security measure, I believe, to stop quick changes on nicked bikes.
NB: I don't consider this an easy job - it's a pain!

They look like shear bolts. I have a number of photos but I don't seem to be able to attach to the thread . i have tweeted two photos of the bolts on the Twitter account @dunxkerr if you search that.
