Hi all. Back in May I was returning from a trip to France and there was a pop and a steaming battery. The rectifier had blown taking with it both ignition coils and the battery. I've replaced all them (and the rusted exhaust) and everything is fine except... No indicators! Initially I thought it was the relay so I've replaced that and still nothing. In fact I've put the old and new relays on another Divvy and they both function fine so I know they're good. I've tested the switch to relay wires for continuity and the middle wire (brown) is always connected and the other two (brown/white and dark green) are connected when the switch is pushed left or right. I guess it's possible all four bulbs plus the dash light are blown but it seems unlikely. Any more ideas? Thanks in advance.

if your rectifier has blown, then it's very likely that it's blown the bulbs,
so check power to the bulbs first, then check the bulbs, then check the earths!

Is the flasher unit itself OK?

Yeah, the flasher unit's ok. I'll check the bulbs. It's often the simplest things...

Ok, so the near side bulbs are both fried which would make sense as I was on the motorway when the rectifier went and only indicated left after that point. I haven't checked the dash indicator but would I be correct to assume that if it has gone (which by logic it should have) that neither side would make a circuit? Thanks

Not as far as I can see.
The dashboard indicator is connected to the live side of each side's indicator bulbs. So if the RH indicator is flashing the dashboard bulb takes 12V from the RH ind. and then is earthed through the LH ind.bulb to complete the circuit.
It's possible the bulb in the dashboard has gone as it has a much higher resistance than the indicator bulbs so would take most of the voltage. But, no, it won't stop the indicators working.
Do you have a haynes manual? I can email you a pdf if you like.

Thanks, just got back to it and all the bulbs had gone (except the dash one). There was no visible failure in the filaments on the right hand side two but they failed a continuity test. All replaced and everything's tickety boo! Cheers

Jolly good. Start with the simple things.
