Depending on its value. D900 '02 plate, red, 56k with MOT to January. Like a Pillock I threw it down the road some weeks ago, 2x bike shops have looked at it and said it's OK, I'm riding it again fine but think I need a change for my confidence, if it's still got a sensible value.
In 'winter hack' aesthetic condition but everything works including fuel gauge. Original panniers and crudely fitted givi topbox but solid. Original and tall touring screens available.
Fairing (now cracked in one place), panniers and crash bars took the impact when I slid it away from me, so nothing worse than cosmetic damage.
After my idiocy I wonder what it's worth. £500? £1k? Literally no idea.

Best place for this would be ebay, list as an auction with plenty of pictures (12) and a start price of £500 with no reserve. Don't be tempted to take the initial low offers so let the auction run. List in on a Saturday afternoon, so that the auction ends at the next weekend, and I would think you may achieve nearer your 1k expectation.
Good luck

I actually sold my one with a couple of months MOT for the same £600 I paid for it, but with the brakes sorted. I know how you feel, as bringing mine home in sleety Jan conditions nothing happened for nye on the full brake lever travel, then it locked on, very nearly washing the front out from under me. That would have reversed a good record as I havent had a bike accident for nye on 40 years. I still recall the two I had within a few months of each other(and still have some physical reminders)so hope you survived your one in physicaltact. After I had got it sorted and had a lovely run I was gonna try sell my Aprilia Futura, however a ride on that soon after and experiencing the Ferocious performance of the 1000 VTwin's thoroughbred handling (the Mille is even more Savage)and sheer Italian character, decided me to try sell the XJ900.
I used Preloved, and a real time wasting lets have a run out to look at a bike type, took a look then a genuine local lady of ample proportions(as I was concerned it was a weighty old bus before), she lived locally went away with her partner wanting to think about it, so I thought thats that but she returned clutching the dosh so deal done. The bike had done over 70,000 miles but started on the button and super smoothly.I saw her arrive at The Great Bently meet in the summer. However it was really the weight and thoughts of skiddy conditions that left no regrets. I had largely enjoyed it in the short spell of ownership, and introduced me to this excellent Forum, but I do like Italian stuff, mainly.

OK a bit of a recurrence of an old situation but having bought another bike, my D9 probably should go. Current regular usage is a two mile commute which is helping no one. Passed mot in January with two advisories, for exhaust silencers which will certainly want replacing, and a worn tyre valve. If I can get £750-odd and know it's going to someone who will use it, I'll be happy enough. Won't win a beauty contest but will get you there all day. Was advertised as below before I bought my new bike. Still umming and aahing about keeping it but common sense should prevail.... www.gumtree.com/p/yamaha-motorbikes/yamaha-xj900s-diversion-2002-56k/1154817673
