Hi Markus, having just googled delkevic collector box, it is not dissimilar (as I first suspected) to the Breadbox affair on my Aprilia Futura. This runs under the seat and exits via a single central pipe. A lot of folk fit Staintune pipes or similar, so as they appear more like Ducatti ones. However it is often a case unless the ECU is remapped, using a laptop and one of the 3 programs downloadable for 1000CC VTwin Rotax powered Apes, which vary in power,or like on my Mille, a Commander 3 box to allow more free flow. However it runs fine with the quieter cans as I am considerate of neighbours. It probably still develops around 35 horses than the adequate 113 of the Fut, which is tuned for lower down torque, as befits its Sports Tourer aim.
It seems that dual pipes on the Futuras sound awesome, as does the Mille wid peashooter cans, but without remapping I gather they tend to fluff and missfire, at higher revs, but the Commander 3 allows that should one wish to do track days.
When I first got my 650 Sachs, having owned a hopelessly unreliable Virago engined one, loved the bike, not the engine,I couldnt find either a stock 650 or VTwin Suzi engined one, and settled for a Street tracker type which had a few amateur bodges, it had a modded pipe (with megaphone, but whilst it would turn heads a mile away), I found by muffling it with wire wool(around the rudimentary baffle ) it still sounded nice but unlike the loud job, I wasnt worried about being followed, as before, on one occassion by a tailgaiting copper. Fitting a CBR Honda exhaust still sounded nice but also it didnt missfire at higher speeds. Ideally if I could find a standard down pipe I would fit an original can.
Sounds to me what you fitted was a retrograde step, and if you still have the original set up, presuming it wasnt changed because of corrossion etc, I would do that, because what you spent on the delkeevic will be compensated for in fuel economy and long term wear and tear.

Thx Never heard of that problem before and there are quite a lot of after market collectors fitted, seeing as the oem one is prone to rusting through. I would start with looking at the carbs, give 'em a clean up and check the balancing, (out of sync carbs can give the symptoms you're experiencing). Could be just coincidence that the fuel issue has occurred at the time of fitting the collector? Hth, Trev.
