Does anyone know if a fazer thousand rear shock fits, i know it has a piggy back reservoir but it looks a possibility? Failing that, does anything but a fazer 600 fit? They must all be as tired as my Divvie one now surely? I cant spend £150+ when the whole bike only cost me £500...! Ta muchly

Does anyone know if a fazer thousand rear shock fits ... Not that I know of. Unfortunately, it usually follows that if a bike only cost £500, you have to be prepared to spend on it to keep it on the road. Be grateful you didn't spend more, only to find the same need!

Ta muchly They probably are, but pick one up from the 600 for less than £50 here (seller accepts offers) then get it rebuilt for about £60. I did that about 18 months ago, been fine since. Good luck.

Ta muchly The Fazer 600 shock I fiited to mine seemed fine really, with it kept on the highest preload I don't have much to complain about really seems nice and firm to me. I'm sure a brand new £150 aftermarket shock would be better but a £20 shock from a bike which has only covered 20k miles seems perfectly fine to me particularly given how long the original shock was on the bike (well over 100k!)
