Hi,
I'm new here so hope that i have posted this in right place...
Quick question: I just bought my first ever bike (2002 Yamaha XJ600N) but my problem is that i very small hands and the reach to both the break and the clutch standard levers is quite big which means that after riding my hands (mainly from clutch control) are quite sore from over reaching.
on the 600N there is no way to adjust the lever position (you can adjust the clutch bite point but not the position of the lever). so after searching i think the only way around my issue is to replace the levers with adjustable ones.
... I've checked EBay and there seem to be quite a few for sale but having looked i'm not sure which will fit my XJ600N (there are a few that say they fit the XJ600 but they specify >2009 and cant find any adjustable ones that specifically say XJ600 2002 model)
My real question boils down to: does anyone know if:
2009 XJ600 clutch / break levers fit the 2002 model or if not then does anyone know if there are any compatible levers which might fit?
Many Thanks
Gavin

The 2009 model is (I'm pretty sure) the new diversion whereas yours is the older one, so the levers would be unlikely to fit.
Your levers will be the same as the XJ600S which was a much more common bike so might be worth searching for that?

Try searching for adjustable ones for the 1998 - 2003 Fazer 600 as they should fit. So should those for a 900 Diversion.

........... or if you don't need much, gently bend the levers in a bit! Plenty of heat should make it less likely they'll snap, but it's a risk!

I also have what I think are Chinese copies of Pazzo-type levers on my Fazer8, they work fine.
If you reduce the span of the clutch lever, be prepared for more "crunch" when selecting 1st from neutral!

Clutch only needs to be fully pulled in after starting from cold. You can avoid the crunch by putting bike in gear for engine start. If bike drsgs forwards you'll need to adjust the lever as needed. Gear shifts are best with matched revs and part or even no clutch. Fast up and throttle blip down. Slow shifts will crunch the gears.
