Hi Guys. Has any one changed the front fork oil seals on an XJ600 Diversion themselves. Is it a big job. I noticed the other day mine are starting to weep. I have bought the correct seals and was going to try it myself. What sort of oil and how much do i put into the tubes for the correct level. Dont have a Haynes manual yet have one on order. Cheers Mel.

I done it, so that must say something lol! just gouge old ones out, and use old one as a drift along with some plastic tube to bang new ones in. That way no need to remove the stanchions.

I've also done without any previous experience of from other bikes. I agree that it's a fairly simple job. You will need the "tool" (i.e a 24mm nut) mentioned in the thread above.
Not diversion specific, but good anyway:

Carefully drill into the seal's metal ring and screw in a self tapper screw. You can then lever out the seal. But if the fork kegs are not pitted you might need new sliding bushes. You also get chance to flush out any gunk inside the fork sliders.
