I love it when a plan comes together! Had been getting a hesitancy from the Fazer, not on start-up but when warm it tended to almost stall, not quite stall but almost, the bike would judder momentarily then recover. No pattern to it, just every now and again. But enough to be annoying kangarooing along,
I immediately suspected HT, so pulled the plugs out for a shufti, certainly looked pretty sh*tty but they were a healthy beige colour on the insulator, decided I would change them as they looked like they needed renewing and I could get lucky and save all that faffing around under the tank with a tester.
Bought four Iridium plugs from Wemoto (£50!) and fitted them. This morning got the chance to test them. Tentatively set off waiting for the dreaded judder! But no, it ran faultlessly! Wahoo!
Fault-finding genius or what!

Fault-finding genius or what! My recent trip to Normandy, had my Breva, stumbling when pulling away, and using more fuel than usual, once I was home, I cured it by replacing the outer spark plugs, now running great, the bike has only just turned 12000 miles, so the plugs are more than likely 10 years old, £50 for four plugs, you're having a giraffe, they are just over £20 for four, from Eurocar parts I paid £1.50 each for two normal plugs, well I didn't I paid for two, but four were sent, the inner plugs on the breva are iridium, because they are more difficult to get at!

Yes I realised too late that Wemoto was shafting me! They wont get the chance again. My Fazer has done a tad under 10K miles so I thought after looking at their state that they were probably the originals, so they got changed, but that £50 still p1sses me off. The dangers of ordering on't net without first engaging brain!

You can get bike plugs from ECP now? Rip off culture is everywhere. My wife's car needed a silencer. She went to one of the national chains of tyre and exhaust fitters. They got on the phone to ECP then quoted over £200 to supply and fit it. I could get the part directly from ECP for about £100 and fitting only takes 30 minutes.
