Hi guys,
I have got a lot of play on the rear brake pedal before I get any response from the brakes. Anyone know how to alter this to improve the sensitivity?
thanks in advance,
tames

Perhaps the pads have just worn down. Does sound more like air in the system

There will be an adjuster on the master cylinder pushrod, but normally this will only alter the height of the brake pedal, not the amount of play. However, it's worth trying that first.
If that doesn't work, and the pads still have some meat on them, then as Gav says, it's probably air in the system.
Do you know when the fluid was last changed? If it's the original it will be looking fairly dark brown by now - fresh fluid is almost clear - and flushing it through and bleeding would be a good idea before trying anything else. Likewise, the fronts, of course.
