My new purchase. Well pleased. The more observant will see a C50 with the swingarm 'almost' removed in the background.

That's very pretty . What year is it? Mileage? Quite capable of tow-starting similar size bikes, I'll wager .

G reg, 27,000. Engine just had a rebuild, the main bearings were pretty much goosed, he showed me them. He was a bit gutted I got it so cheap but that's ebay for you. I have to say the smell of two stroke is nostalgic.

I think the C50 is going to get ignored now. It's just so much easier buying something that someone else has put all the hard work into

Very tidy
Best make sure the lights are bright on the AP50 so that the other runsters can see me through the haze of blue smoke in their mirrors

Seems sturdy enough so far, no idea if metal fatigue will take its toll before September. Taking it to work later in the week. Might have to leave early, Luckily I can't be late.

I am starting to get worried that I will end up back marker on this run, I don't think the racing Puck has the legs of anything currently booked on the run! maybe I should bring a tow rope!

We ran a fleet of these in the Gloucestershire County Council training scheme in the early 80s - a good reliable bike.

So why is my 125 way too big, with my weight even 33 horses its somewhat handicapped, at least I rebuilt the engine Eoins and Light years back, but it's been in a barn up to a couple of Sunday's back so whatever I use no one can accuse me of buying in to succeed. Is there a prize or cup incidentally? Also you said your C50 is too early to be a Cub, how so? I thought the C was for Cub, no smart ass suggestions there thanks! Nice 100, I saw it on Fleabay but it was umpteen miles away. Ps are we likely to be weighed Jockey style, only even having lost 2 stone since XMas ,I still tip the scales at 19.5 stone, so maybe better have a danger wide load notice.

And 125cc is > 100cc as far as I know.
I said it's too old to be a cub.

I think I might fit a sail to mine, I will need all the help I can get! I generally work like a sail, if the wind is with me the brakes might not cope.

I was thinking my mate Martin could pop around the corner and ask Frank, if he has any of those DRS systems going spare!

Drag reduction maybe a modern version of the Dustbin fairings they used to have on Guzzi V8s and Gilera fours in the late 50s...modern equivelent ,a Wheeley bin fairing would look a tad daft though. Your mate Mart may have to pop around the corner to see Claire these days, and get him to precure some titanium skids for all that leaning out, hyking tacking and gybing in nautical terms. Remember right is starboard and left is Port.

The brakes on the Puch are pretty decent, though it does add quite a bit of frame flex, when you throw them on, frame flex is the suspension system!
