Well,I,ve taken a punt on the more expensive set. lets hope that sorts it. I,ve got some new fairing bolts coming too and I,m looking for a good condition right hand Yamaha silencer. I think I might have found the source of the indicator issues and I,m feeling a bit more positive about the bike. But I,m still considering a change Thanks for the heads up RALPH.

You'll be lucky to find a good original anything from the exhaust system.

Indeed, finding NOS exhausts would be like a dream but I "think" I might have found a good condition S/H one. Mine has a nasty chamfer right on the end which lowers the tone slightly. Fix the silencer and get the wire wool and autosol to the downpipes and this old bike looks pretty clean. I,ll deffo put some pix up when I,m done with the work. Engine wise, with nearly 72K on the clock,it sounds nice and tight. It had a top end overhaul a year ago and the engine will go on forever. Shame the rest of it won,t!! But its a good bike and I,m glad I finally got to own one. My MRA screen keeps all the bugs off and if I decide to keep it,I,d have the seat re-upholstered just because the foam has got hard and there is a very small hole in the cover near the rear.Otherwise, its a good 6ft bike (Looks good from 6ft away).
