Hi fellow D9 owners. Greetings from Sydney, Australia. I've just picked up a pristine D9 with 27,000km on the clock (yes... genuine I find the footpegs a little close to the seat and would prefer them a little lower and a little more forward. I found these on the internet: www.whaccessories.com/Foot-Peg-Lowering-Kit-Yamaha.htmDoes anyone have any experience with this kit? Can anyone recommend one they have successfully installed? cheers,

Trouble is you may find your foot change and rear brake awkward to reach, and albeit doubtfully on a big heavy Divvie the pegs grounding. Here we are supposed to let the insurers know of any non manufacturers supplied modification. Gone are the carefree days without donning my Rose tinted specs ,that on a rider policy, one could own and ride as many machines(perhaps it was 6 max??)for me that encompassed 3 two stroke Puch Maxis a succession of Suzukis, a brace of Kawasaki triples, which were still owned when a V400Honda was aquired and modifications were confined to engine exhausts and uprated brakes, as mods, CC almost limitless. Now on my Saga policyI even have to declare a towbar as a modification on my car.

I fitted some MFW Vario pegs (from M&P - in Wales, the original one, not the New South one ) to my RSV to lower them. Did a reasonable job, though expensive (German, I think). I only lowered them by 23mm, which was not really enough to give my knees an easy time, and any more would have made it difficult to get decent adjustment on the brake/gear levers. So, with a heavy heart, the bike had to go (there were other reasons too, but I still miss its character).
