Thoughts I'd ask on here, see if anyone has any suggestions
On my divi 900 trike, I use it every day, and do about 10'000 miles a year. On average, I'm changing my ignition coils every 4-6 months. It's getting really annoying now, and I had both coils fail on me at the same time last week, resulting in a 3 hour wait to be recovered in the rain (luckily I managed to coast to a bridge to shelter under!)
I'm guessing that I shouldn't be going through ignition coils at this rate, and something must be wrong.
The problem is the coils breaking down and you can see a visible spark at night between the HT lead output terminals on the coil. I'm not sure if this is happening because of vibration (I have rear suspension but it is pretty firm), or if it is just a common problem on Diversions.
I have decided that when I get the new coils delivered, I'm going to see about using some rubber washers between the coils and the mounting points to help minimise any vibration. I've even been considering relocating the coils to somewhere else (if I can wire them so it's one coil per side, as opposed to cylinders 1/4, 2/3)
Any help is appreciated. Cheers

Certainly not a common D9 fault I've heard of. What are the spark plugs like ? Is it running hot ?

Buy better coils!
actually you could probably use BMW K100 coils,
they are renowned for reliability and cost about £30 a pair on ebay used,
you shouldn't see sparking at coil to lead connection, no matter what, buy better coils!

I get the coils from WeMoto, so I guess they just use cheap ones then.
I've got some on order from a different company on eBay so I'll change them over then, but I will look at the BMW K100 coils as well if they're known for reliability.
The engine doesn't run overly hot, although it is on a trike so I get stuck in traffic, but it's never gotten overly hot as if I'm going tong stationary for more than a couple of minutes, I just turn the engine off.
