Might as well just take yer normal charger afaic. that may be you, others may have a different view of it's usefulness, after all not everyone is near a charge point, or want's to fit a power point on their bike, I know that when I am camping for instance no charge points are available, and if I forget to charge my phone, but I am off out, I can charge it whilst it is in my pocket, which isn't fitted with a 240v supply, even in the car, I can charge a couple of phones, whilst the 12v socket is in use for the kids DvD, or sat nav! But for you, with your wind up grandad phone, I can understand that you would have no use whatsoever!

Actually with the speed you can use up my Samsung battery I can see a use for this. A couple of days away on the bike with no access to AC (I don't have a 12V socket wired to the bike either) This could be really useful.

So long as you've remembered to charge yer charger, and from your reasoning that's not a given is it, you've already stated how forgetful you are. Must be yer age

Must be yer age but it only needs charged occasionally, and if I am going to use it, then I will make sure it's charged, just like I did when I used it on the January jolly!

Have 'accquired' one of these, ( well two actually) thought it would be a good idea to keep in the pocket, top box..charge MP3 or phone on the move !
it's ok carrying a charger around, but that needs mains, so a long stop required..

Thanks for the heads-up Ian I, for one, saw the potential benefits of this and bought one which arrived today. Apart from the joke instructions (when will the Chinese employ a proper translator ?), the unit itself seems to be good quality and it's already charged my new smartphone for me

I have something similar, not quite up to the capacity in the OP, but the one I got was from Aldi, is rugged and is what I use to charge my phone etc. when I'm out camping. What with Mp3 players, BT helmets, speakerpods and phones all needing maintenance.....gadgets like this are always useful to have.
