Hi all,
My 900 Diversion, 2002 model has started this "ticking" sound when idling. Is that the valves needing adjustments?
I have just changed oil and filter.
Cheers

Odd. My son's 600 has just done the same. I thought tappets as well.
It was on the sidestand and I didn't try it on the mainstand so may be just oil not getting to the top tappets when leant over.

The bike has done just over 60,000 kilometers.

A leak in the exhaust is also a common cause of a ticking noise.
Have a crawl around it, and see if you can feel any gas escaping - without burning yourself, obvs.

Maybe you are on to something here. The bike was on the side stand and hadn't been driven. Today when I drove it I couldn't hear this sound.
