Been giving the CB750 carbs another clean this morning. (Reason: pots 3 & 4 aren't getting fuel. Pots 3 & 4 both have sparks and run off different coils too so the issue is fuelling, not ignition even though both have fuel bowls nicely filled. They fire-up when carb cleaner is squirted into the mouths). Damn me if after another strip down they still ain't firing. Is my only option now to split the bank so I can check / clean the fuel connector between the carbs ? I've done this on other carbs, & believe me it's a world of pain (to me, at least). I'm guessing not, as the bowls clearly fill OK. Jets are clean, I'm runnnig out of ideas. Hoping for any other suggestions I might try ....

do you have to buy a set of gaskets when you engage on carburettor stip downs of this nature?

do you have to buy a set of gaskets when you engage on carburettor stip downs of this nature? No. I've never found the float bowl gaskets to be damaged or un-re-usable. (Maybe I've been lucky, but I've had quite a few carbs to bits). O-rings too, haven't been damaged or too compressed.

Off again, all seems well, on again - it runs on all four! Lumpy, to be honest, but all four all the same. Too damned sensitive, carbs . (Trouble originated with tank contamination - still not sure it's clean enough but I've been running off a temporary tank for now, to ensure clean fuel).

There should be some orifices in the Venturi of the carb, are they clear?
