maybe you should consider stopping around here Thursday, then you can do an interesting run through the Lakes, and Carlisle is only 26 miles away!
I am thinking about attending, not sure yet!

Recommendations on local B&B appreciated - sounds more interesting than a beefeater type pub at a Premier Inn. FWIW, BMBob and I stayed at a B&B near the end of Penfold's road for a Lakes weekend some years ago - highly recommended - but can't recall the name
