Hi folks! Having now got my c spanner from yam bits, how do I actually adjust the shock? I can't work out which part of the shock I apply the spanner to? I tried right at the bottom but it won't budge. The shock is old and the last mot advisory said shock losing damping so it hasn't long left, but once its replaced I still need to know how to adjust its replacement! Any ideas folks? Thanks!!

the C spanner fits onto the large 'collar' where the lug on the c spanner can fit to adjust.
if you clean the bits up, you should see some marking or numbers, to determine which way adds tension etc.
if it's not been moved for a while, could be a bit seized though! so some easi off stuff may need to be applied, might help

It's easy to crush the adjuster cage if it is seized assuming it's the original type.
