To start off my 99 900 has 73500 miles on it. I bought it with 22k in 2002. It goes great and is on the original battery. Over to you who can beat that?

Mine's also a 1999 bike with 93k miles and running off the same battery since buying in 2007. Impressed you're still on the original battery for the previous 12 years.
As these bikes have a good record for going into starship miles, someone is sure to easily trump my miles.

That's great and gives me hope. Where's the divvy out there with more miles?

JTB must be a contender - problem is, he's probably out racking up more miles instead of posting on here .

I acquired a 900 for spares a few years ago from a mate - several people on here had various bits from it.
It had been used for dispatching, then commuting into central London, so not an easy life, and IIRC had about 8,000 on the clock (which had been round at least once).
I think the best mileage I've heard of wasn't a Diversion but a Blackbird, owned by an ex-courier who had used it for long-distance deliveries. At one point he said he was changing the oil (4,000 mile intervals) every week - using cheap motor oil from Wilko's. He still had it, with around 330,000 on the clock.

If so then f... the mileage! Mine is a 99 and it's just turned 75k. It rides really nicely and pulls like a train. It's also fast as f.. for an "old" bike and more than adequate for my wants/needs. It's had a few age-related issues but then things do! Everything needs tyres, brakes and oil changes and moving parts wear. Oil changes can make a world of difference to any engine. My Canadian acquaintances change their oil at 3000 miles (in 5-7 litre V8 motors) and loads of their vehicles clock up well over 250k with very little to show for it. There's usually more wear on the driver's seat than in the engine! Keep going!

Mine gets an oil change every 4000 at the latest and I use fully synthetic oil. I also ride smoothly as I am I AM member. Like comfy chair for me, can't imagine changing her and wouldn't know what to buy anyway.

Do you manage to do many Iam club ride outs? I generally do the 1/2 day rides.

Well mine has done around 150k miles, couriering mainly. I bought it for £1200 with around 32000 on the clock five years ago. Its going to be having a replacement gearbox fitted the next few weeks as second gear has started to jump on it but other than that the engine seems as good as it has always been, pulls well etc though I seem to get some oil usage I think that was down to the perished oil lines recently replaced. Hard to think of a bike as practical and tough all round as the Diversion really, what the bike might lack in looks or performance it makes up for in useability... There was a guy at a firm I used to work for who had XJ900F's, reckoned his last one ran to around 350k! Given the Diversion is much the same sort of thing would reckon it too would last similarly though I don't put as many miles on the bike these days its more a second bike to my ZRX1200 I don't see any reason to get rid of it its just too dependable and easy to live with.
