Is it worthwhile fitting a K & N air filter to the bike?
Pros I can think of: indefinitely reusable (after a clean) and potential BHP output increase, though not interested in that as the bike's plenty fast enough. Intend using the original exhaust cans and cams.
Cons: increased insurance premiums?

Can't comment on the k&n, never had one fitted, but an increase in insurance premiums wtf? Hope you told your current insurers about your recently fitted blue spots

Don't tell they'll never find out.
It does help but unless your sticking some cans on and re-jetting I wouldn't bother personally.

I fitted A k&n 2 year's ago. MPG went from 50 to a regular 52 average with 56 on country rds ie not dual carriageways. I think it was worth it.!

It's not worth it!
in my opinion, for it to flow more air, it needs to filter less, if it flows more air without you increasing the flow through the exhaust and upping the jetting, then there is no performance gain,if it manages to give more MPG then it is doing it by weakening the mixture, which is not a good idea!
