I've copied this from a post in the General Board because I thought it warranted a place in here..
Bought the parts cheap so wasn't expecting much; the small piston dust seals were sticking out from their bores and most of the small pistons were scored.
Bought replacement pistons from M&P and replaced most of the seals from a Tourmax caliper seal kit. Considered using genuine Yammie seals, but their high price would have made the upgrade uneconomic.
Bleeding was straight forward, using a 50ml syringe to suck air and fluid out through the bleed nipples. Releasing trapped air at the master cylinder was made easy via the banjo bolt bleed nipple, pretty useful. Robbed part of an old D9 wiring loom for the cables and plug to connect the Fazer master cylinder brake switch to the D9 loom.
The whole job was made relatively easy from info posted up on this forum (thank you). Don't think I'll be returning to the origjnal braking system for a while now .
A 15mm stainless P-clip, like this, secures both hoses to the steering yoke.
Finally fitted a blue spot braking system, using Thunderace calipers, D9 braided hoses, Fazer 600 master cylinder (with new seals) and Goldfren sintered pads.

Some pictures to show the finished upgrade. Decided to route the braided hoses along the route used by the originals, using the existing clips to secure one hose to the speedo cable (the hoses will be uncrossed when the brakes are next serviced).
