Greetings everyone. After a 20 year lay off I am back on two wheels (yaaayy, says me!) My original was a 92 model, green, and was my first 'big' bike. Okay, she wasn't an out and out sports bike, and was slagged off by all and sundry as being 'dull', 'pedestrian', a 'commuter' bike, etc, but she was comfy as heck, reasonably quick and fun to ride, reliable too (but then you all know this already). And I loved her to bits! Pity I had to sell her to put towards the mortgage... I've recently purchased my second divvy 600, and I am pleased to find an actual forum dedicated to my favourite wee bike. I look forward to hearing any news, tips, stories, etc, from folks on here. I shall be browsing this forum with interest. Best wishes.

Wot 'e said.
I had 20+ years off, and came back to a 96 divvy 600. Suits me down to the ground - sufficiently old and old fashioned for me to understand what bit does what, with the pipes on the outside.
Keep it safe matey, the bikers' world has changed a bit in those years, and not all for the better.

Suits me down to the ground I seem to remember a photo of it on the ground. It was just resting alright? (I'd tell you where to shove it but you'd have to get it past your thong )

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, roads are definitely worse these days...potholes, poorer standard of driving, I see it all every day, I drive a truck for a living... Now don't start sharpening the pointy sticks 'cos of that, I know there some bad truckers out there too!! In general, most of us truckers don't have problems with bikes (most of the folks riding are spot on. It's those feckin' racing cyclists we get annoyed about!) but just a wee tip for the bikers: if you are filtering let us know you are there. Peep the horn, rev the engine, repeatedly, just so we can hear/see you. You can appear so fast up our sides and we can't monitor those mirrors 100 % of the time! The left hand side of us is highly dangerous, especially in an artic: once we turn left (and it doesn't have to be much) we are almost blind, despite the wide angle mirror... Orrabest!
