I can remember reading there was a direct swap upgrade for blue spot calipers does this ring true or have I gotten my wires crossed ? Is it a direct swap and does anyone have any info on what bike they come from etc ?
Thank you for reading

I can remember reading there was a direct swap upgrade for blue spot calipers does this ring true or have I gotten my wires crossed ? Is it a direct swap and does anyone have any info on what bike they come from etc ? Thank you for reading hi Mick, is it a single or double disc bike? If it's a single disc bike, then whether with the original caliper (which has 33/30mm pistons) or with a blue spot (which has 27/30mm piston pairs) then your original master cylinder (which is 14mm) is too large. Either way, you really need about a 1/2" master cylinder, such as from a CBR600f2. You can use this with your original Divvy mirror clip. With the original caliper it absolutely transforms the braking, and I would very strongly recommend you to do that before trying to bodge a blue spot caliper on there. Blue spots will definitely NOT fit on the twin disc 600 as the mounting bolt spacing is different.

Thanks for the info guys
Dam it mines is dual disk so best just sticking to good pads and braided lines I guess

Braided lines are reliable but won't solve the problem. The issue wrong hydraulic ratio between brake lever and pads. A smaller master cylinder piston gives more leverage = better power and more controllable brakes.

Why would you want a smaller master? Just adjust the lever inwards.

for the single disk D6 a thundercat rear brake is a direct fit (but you need the Tcat brakeline) and gives much improved rear braking as the piston is about 4 times the volume of the diversion one.
