Hi All Just had another Thrust bearing go on my xj600 97they go as regular as clockwork ,this time it was bone dry inside plenty of oil in engine it just does not seem to flick up to the bearing for some reason . Any suggestion would be of great help its easy to change them ,just a pain the backside ..andy

Put a thrust washer on both sides of the roller bearing and use very high melting point grease. If you can find one use a sealed bearing. BTW the clutch operating shaft needle bearings also suffer from lack of oil.
