Sign up sheet for the run to Barmouth Sunday 29th June
Starting from just outside Shrewsbury to Barmouth, approx. 160 miles round trip.
I won't be organising a Saturday run as its a reasonable run for me just to the start, which will also be the finish - Dinkys Dinahs, The Layby, Shrewsbury, SY5 9LG - on A458 at Ford.
Meet at 9:30 for a 10:00 start - its a popular café so if you intend to eat its best to arrive earlier.
There is fuel (Shell - SY5 9LE) near the start, a few hundred yards from the meeting place in Ford, and there will be a fuel stop at Dolgellau (Esso - LL40 2AB) approx. 100 miles into the run.

First comfort break will be at www.bala-lake-railway.co.uk/location/default.html
Lunch will be on the Barmouth seafront - Depending on the weather and how busy the parking is along the seafront (I could only find official bike parking for about 6 bikes), if it's busy I will continue along the seafront to a quiet ice cream/tea kiosk where there is plenty of parking. Anyone who wants hot meals etc can then wander back to the main seafront area.
Afternoon comfort break will be at lake Vyrnwy, Artisans café, SY10 0NA.

what time will you be at bala? Hi Paul, Not my run but I'd guess it would take an hour to an hour and a half to get from Shrewsbury to Bala Lake railway (Google Maps says 1 hr 16 min by the direct route(s) So see ya around 11:00 - 11:30 ?? |

If anyone is heading past Telford on their way on Sunday morning I'll be leaving from the premier inn, TF2 8HH at about 8:15 to take a less than direct route to the start.
Anyone who wants to make the last leg of their journey a bit more interesting is welcome to join.
