Hi everyone, I am an 18 year old university student and proud Diversion (1998 600cc) owner and this summer, me and one of my chums (riding a 1982 Honda XL500) from uni are planning a trip through 11 countries, passing through Scandinavia and eastern Europe. I'm sure the old divvy will be fine as always and hopefully I'll be back with some interesting stories on my return in a few months.... It would be interesting to know if anyone here has done a similar trip and how well we think the diversion would cope with 6000 miles in just 4 weeks! Also if anyone knows of any good places to stop off on the way? Joe Here is a very brief mock up of the route...

Looks interesting, never had the bike North of Germany. I hope you're planning a trip report. While I think the bike will breeze 6000 miles in 4 weeks, most of the geriatrics on here (myself included) would break down long before that. I ache after a weekend in the saddle these days.

That will be a great tour! Remember to take loads of pics to make us jealous . I wouldn't worry about the bike. It'll handle it easily. Charlie

6000 miles in 4 weeks ,,, wow. make sure all service things are good..will tyres last 6000 miles, will if quite new when leaving. i never really got much more from my rear tyre than 6000! do oil and filter before you go! (4000 is the service interval , isn't it?) would suspect some oil 'usage' ensure top up oil available finland / norway ain't a cheap place either have a brill trip

Well we have both got in contact with some biking magazines and they may be interested so you may be seeing us in one in a few months time! I will be fully servicing the bike and as its only done 16,000 miles it should be fine Cheers Joe
