As some of you may know, I fell victim to yet another theft last week. Unfortunately this time it hasn't come back So, I'm in the market for a new bike. I'd like another D6 or similar ideally but I'd consider an upgrade to the D9. My budget isn't huge... around £500-600 at the moment, but if the search drags on too long, payday might increase that. Anyone got anything dwelling the back of their garage they'd be willing to let go? Gary

not sure that you'll be able to bag a XJ600Divvy for that money without having to spend on it, may I suggest the earlier model as per www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/1991-yamaha-xj600-diversion-clean-original-bike-motd-699/1053278716 OK I know they look old fashioned and the above is some distance away but they come up regularly at that kind of price, I have one running and another as a project, I actually prefer it to my XJ600N, nice as that is, the XJ600F gives better fuel economy and is less revvy, I tend to use it on longer runs as it is so relaxingly comfortable.

Thanks for the links.
Im planning on snapping up a bargin at the groovy grove emporium on thursday... including full working electrics!
I think a few quid spent on a decent chain is on the cards as well.

Uh-oh, you realise saying this that if in a few year's time one of the tyres gets a puncture, or next week you just run out of petrol, I'll be in for years more grief for selling a pup ? PS: When did I say the electrics were fully working ?

Just make sure the bit of wood modification is still in place! Second thoughts this could be a good anti theft deterrent (providing the tea leaf isn't a carpenter)
