Ghoti's Garmin has frozen - he's in France. Apparently an explanation was given on YDC of how to unlock Garmin's in a thread started (possibly) by Popsflyn.
Anyone help ASAP?

Had a word with tech people. tel no. 0870-8501242. Was told I would get an email with step by step instructions how to do a master reset. If anybody ever needs to do this. with the unit off Press, ON + OK + Page. (This is a master reset) to do a Data reset Press, PAGE + OK + ON (all saved data will be removed) I have just done a master reset and fingers crossed this seems to have worked. My quest is now showing all roads etc, but be aware, when first switched on it was showing America.

some how I agree with Gurninman.
Don't get me wrong GPS is very useful but should never take you away from having a back up or even the excitement of exploring without technology!
Glad everything is now sorted and hope you enjoyed.

What's so bad about maps? The only thing worse than drivers on mobiles is drivers watching their dazzingly bright GPS mounted so high they cant see the road properly or so low they cant see the GPS and drive while looking at the floor. I guess reading a map on your knees is even worse, but as few folk these days can read maps that's becoming less of a problem. How about this: uk.aldi.com/special_buys/productnl_112.htmlWith this: uk.aldi.com/special_buys/productnl_1118.htmlto show you've arrived as a techno geek. DC Making friends & influencing people?
