Hi. I bought stainless down pipes for my 900 and cant fit them as one seams to be to short. Any ideas how to sort it out? It goes into the collectors but just fraction too short. I put some exhaust repair putty around it but after a while it blew it and it makes truly annoying noise. Thanks.

Yes mate. I forgot to say that only down pipes are stainless the rest is original.

Dunno then, only other thing I can suggest is to check you still have all the gaskets in place at the head end. Maybe one missing causing one header pipe to be a fraction too short?

They can be difficult to fit,
How do you know they are all the correct down pipes, they all should push into the head and collector box and I think if you get them wrong you end up with one short,
You need to fit them loose, jiggle them about until they fit well, then at the end fit the silencers, they should all push into the collector box a decent amount!
