Hi Guys and Gals, Parking/Side light has blown. I managed to retrieve it from the bottom of the Headlamp assembly but putting it back is turning into a nightmare.Hands and fingers are well bashed. Fairing is still on the bike ( I don't really want to take it off). There must be a way you experienced guys know of putting it back in the headlamp assembly without all this grief and removing the fairing. Any suggestions ? Cheers, Steve.

You just pull the thing out replace the bulb and push back in, I don't remember it being hard, much harder to replace the headlamp bulb, when you have thick fingers, TJ sausage fingers must struggle!

Bollocks you two!
Anyway, I just whip the tank off to gain access, so there.

Tank off?
On my 96 D6 it's easy if you go in from underneath.

Thanks Guys. However the clearance between the bottom of the fairing and the bottom of the headlamp assembly is very tight. I can just about squeeze two fingers up in between. Maybe I'll take the tank off and try that.

Sorted. Took tank off and managed to wangle it into place.
Thanks to all.

No more blown filaments (hopefully) if you fit an LED bulb.

I couldn't get my fingers in there either, so I popped the carenage off. I had to pull hard on the plug to get the bulb out. No way could I have been able to do that while keeping the carenage on.
