Hi there Peeps, I have recently bought a TDM 900 so my divvy has to go and mines a 97 600S. I bought it about 3 1/2 years ago with 37000 on it and have only done 43000 or so now. She has had a lot of TLC and have spent loads on her getting up to the standard she's in now.The only let down is the tank as it was dented when I got it and I aint been able to source one. I have put braided hoses on her aswell as Givi rack and coocase topbox (48 ltr ) She's had oil n filter changes in April every year regardless of mileage, new plugs, air filter, rear tyre (battlax),rear shocker 8000 miles old and complete really good exhaust last year. I also replaced the engine base gasket as it was leaking on the left hand side but not no more. As you'd expect there are a few scrapes and scratches on her and the fairing I paid £75 for last year is racing green and not the metallic green as original. She starts on the button every time and has a 1 year old Motobatt battery on. She also has an alarm/ immobiliser and is T&T'd till May this year. I'll send you some pics if you like. She also has heated grips fitted which come in handy this time of year and a front fender extender also the front tyre has only done about 2000 mls if that. I'm looking for £700 for a quick sale o.v.n.o. I know how good she is for riding and I don't want her doing nowt and stood seizing up month by month so if she do'nt go on here I'll advertise her elsewhere. I would break her but i think she'll do somebody a fair few miles yet. Regards Rich Just go through my library for other pics and I realise its a buyers market our there right now but let me know if you think I'm out with the price (I know you would anyway )There's a bit o wallop in the back wheel bearing as advised last year but its nowt really the MOT tester said. Ta Buck

I think you are out with the price, half the price is where you need to be,
Decent low milers are around the £500 mark, needing no work
Ones needing paint work and 40+ thousand miles need to be much lower,
Don't look at eBay prices or dealer prices, they won't sell at that, they will still be for sale throughout the year,
Hell you can get a decent D9 that doesn't need a respray for that money and they are much tougher bikes,
Break it if you must, it's worth more broken, but it's a project that needs a decent amount of work and that limits the buyers as does the time of year, I wouldn't dream of paying more than £350 for it!

Hiya HRH, I thought that the price would be the problem as I've had zero replies till yours ha ha, after all I've spent getting somewhere right and if thats all I would get for a decent bike then I will keep it and let it rot.

Ta Buck We'll that is your choice, I know to well that you lose lots of money fixing bikes up, that can never be recouped once sold, I would suggest you either sell for a more reasonable price and swallow the lesson now, having enjoyed fettling it, because it won't gain any value, or tax and insure and use it, as a second bike, Not to long ago I restored a BMW R65, spent £3+k on it , and sold it for £1300, after it stood unused in my garage!

Gotta admit I thought it was a bit highly priced Buck but awaited for someone with a little more tact to come along and tell you For what it would cost extra on your ins and tax would have thought it would make more sense for you to keep it as a runabout. @hrh...if I find a bike will you take it in, spend a wedge on it and let me have it back for the summer?

Ha ha I know guys but I'm not trying to rip anyone off, its just that i know how good the bike is and don't want to give it away. HRH I have put her up on the Carpe TDM site too mate. My nephew wants the bike but not till the end of the year and to be truthful I cant realisticly afford to run both bikes this year and I dont want the Divvy to go to waste if you know what I mean. Ta Buck It costs very little to run a second bike, very little to add it to the insurance, bit of road tax, anything else you would pay out whichever bike taken out, fuel, maintenance, tyres Upside is that you can sort one out whilst you ride the other, or if you have plans and you notice a flat tyre, you don't spoil your day fixing instead of riding, the good bike gets less mileage and can avoid bad weather, the divi is worth nowt, so no depreciation whatever miles you put on it, it almost pays for itself Your decision though, everyone is different, If you weren't to far away, not that I know where you are, then I would have had a look, but you would be disappointed at what I would offer, I looked over one a couple of weeks ago, and offered £500 for it, newer and lower miles than yours, the tappety noise is the common clutch rattle, but the seller wanted a minimum £550 so I walked away, This is it sold on eBay, take off all fees and it made less www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251424563207?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Bigbuck, might be worth a pm to panic (a.k.a. Nicky). She replied to my ad for my K Reg Divvy as she's looking to replace hers. Unfortunately mine has been sold but she may be interested in yours (which looks a beauty btw)
Good luck
