hi folks, my rear caliper is seizing. Whilst stripping it and rejuvenating it might be something to look forward to on one of those long winter nights, since the weather is still balmy and warm (ie not two foot deep snow) I was hoping to just put on a caliper unit that works, to enjoy riding during the unusually tropical winter. Anyone got a working one lying around doing nothing? Cheers Bort  |

Don't dismiss the master cylinder. I overhauled the caliper & same happened again. Turns out the master cylinder was at fault.
Just food for thought.

hiya all, seem to be having problems communicating with muckerboy2205. anyone else got a rear brake caliper lying around? ebay seems particularly bereft, am willing to pay ........money!

I didn't know the thundercat had the same caliper - was just looking for xj900s on ebay.
As luck would have it, just been in touch with Muckerboy and he's being an utter star and sending the caliper up to me - so hopefully will be back to commuting along the banks of Loch Ness imminently.
