What's the best way to drain carbs for winter storage of a 600 div? Been told to add stabiliser to fuel, run for while then fill tank up. Then with bike running turn fuel off and let carbs run dry. Problem is can't see OFF position on fuel tap. Does it have one? If not what should I do?

It depends on the divvie, as some have electric pumps and some don't, If its one with a vacuum pump, then unplugging the vacuum pipe should shut the fuel off, or clamping the vacuum hose will do the same thing, If its an electric pump, then you can un plug the pump, the plug is only a few inches from the pump,

I suppose you could always drain the float bowls by undoing the screw on the bottom of the bowls, or just simply run the bike for a while every few weeks to keep the fuel moving

I think the later K series Bandit 1200's run a little lean, my K4 has a slightly rough spot just off idle to 3k but returns 50+mpg, my 98 model Bandit 1200 ran great but only returned 35mpg. Removing the AIS has vastly improved things

suppose it depends on how long you intend to 'store' it.
a few months will have little effect, so why bother? but using a small amount of fuel stabiliser might help..
if mine is left 'unloved' for a while i often run some shell V max through...it seems to clean things up, just a partial fill up is all it takes..
