First 45 miles went well, then found myself confronted by this confusing sign: Shortly afterwards I found myself on a private estate road: Five minutes later, hesitating at a 'private road' sign, an officer of the law pulled up in a 4x4 wagon, enquiring as to my intents . (At first I assumed he was looking for Clive!)

Sorry I couldn't come out to play - looks like I missed some interesting off-roading.

Sorry I couldn't come out to play - looks like I missed some interesting off-roading. No probs - I won't "rib" you about your unfortunate unavailability

I suppose you were looking for a suitably awkward place to stage the run U turn test.

No probs - I won't "rib" you about your unfortunate unavailability Fortunately it felt a bit better today, at least to the point where I could get my leathers on without creasing up in agony. So I was able to do a final track day of the year at Silverstone Stowe circuit (the nadgery little left-handed one) - having paid for it, as a good Yorkie (with some Scots blood) how could I not go. But it was hard work, at least once the track dried out, and hanging off proved to be a bit uncomfortable. Which held me back a bit as the organiser had misguidedly put me in the fast group.

I note a lack of 'simulated' January weather m40man. It can't be a practice, just an excuse for a ride out. Nowt wrong with that, just say so! I'd do the same.
