Nice run out to break the new rear tyre in. From Nth. Lincs down to Boston, back up the east-coast to Skegness for some lunch then further up the east-coast to that Mecca for Nottinghamshire miners, Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea. (Don't those names just conjure up the epitomy of the English holiday!) LOL.
Has to be said though, typical English weather, started out glorious sunshine, then heavy showers on the way home, where I was thankful for the new tread. Was coming through Ludford on the top of the Lincs wolds, during one of these heavy showers. Was in a 30mph zone, sticking to the speed, had swmbo on the back, when I had to overtake a parked van. I could see a bus waiting to turn right at a junction about 50 yds in front of the van. I mumbled something to swmbo about wether he'd seen me or not and with that the Wa***r pulled straight out! 5 yds nearer and I would have been slap bang into the side of a No 54, stopped to give him some professional advice, and the classic " I never saw you mate!". After a further exchange, questioning his parentage, we continued homeward. Suffice to say, I was well wound up, but at least it gave me a lesson on the braking on the 900 and a wake up call to remind us all. EXPECT EVERYBUGGER ELSE ON THE ROAD TO BE A WA***R!
Stay safe out there,Trev
