Made it back OK if very wet.
Thanks to John & Andy for hosting a great day out. Sorry I had to get back early but hope it brightened up for you later.

Also back from the run, a nice warm bath then it's back off south to work. Thanks for organising the run and for the sterling back marking. Both Nick and Andy, both newbies to the forum runs have throughly enjoyed the day, despite the weather this morning. See you all on the Yorkshire Run. Matt and Dave.

A big thanks to John & Andy for the run along with there trusty back marker Flymo. Weather wasn`t the best but we enjoyed the run all the same and nice to see some old and new faces this time round. The wind piked up on the way home and I am glad we didn`t go over the Roaches as we would have been riding side ways. Sorry to cut and run at the lunch stop but an 11 week old kitten left to his own devices from 8.15 am and a brand new 3 piece suite delivered yesterday was playing on our minds. Needn`t have worried he was OK and the 3 piece thankfully is still in pristine condition. Hope to do some more runs this year if I can get the work done on our home.

Home just after 7:30, so 13 hours out today . Thanks John & Andy, & also Flymo Andy for back-marker duties - I'm still a bit 'moist' but thoroughly enjoyed the day - but who ate the all the pub's veggie pie ? Thanks Fiasco for the company there & back - oddly the roads were perfectly dry when I got within 6 miles of home, & mrsm40man confirms it's been dry all day here . Can't wait for the next one now .

Arrived home at 7.45pm after a right royal soaking from Buckingham downwards, just when I thought I had dried out !! Bike now away, and what do you know, blue sky and sunshine!! 397 miles for the day for me, got to hand it to my Frank Thomas gear and Daytona boots, which kept me totally dry all day, as did my HG gloves with the aid of hand guards. The pockets of my jacket were another story, I was wringing out a handful of ear plugs at the lunch stop! Great to see everyone as always, regulars, old faces and new, and thanks to John and Andy for organising the day, route etc, and Flymo and Becks for back marking. I bet there would be a great view from the Snake Pass, had we been able to see more than 20 foot in the fog / low cloud! I would like to go and do those roads again in the summer Thanks to Martin for company there and back, I think the breakfast venue was a great choice, where else do you get roast spuds on your fry up? Sorry I didn't stop to have a McPee / brew at Towcester on the way back, I decided that if I got off, I wouldn't want to get on again!! Martyn (HIgh Peak Bandit) sorry I didn't get a chance to say good bye, I hadn't realised you were leaving at the lunch stop, and I was going to get you 'that brew' after the run Thanks again to everyone for making it a great day, despite the weather Dave

...397 miles for the day for me ... Dave Dammit - 393 miles for me . If I hadn't followed you round all those roundabouts near Daventry when you were trying to clock up extra miles, you might have beaten me

Wonderful day out, many thanks to John and Andy for putting together a great route, some familiar roads and some i hadn't been along before (well not that i remember) got home at around 6-00 but after taking Bec home and then bodging my center stand back on the bike with an improvised bungee spring ! (god only knows where the original spring has got too) it's now time for a shower and straight to bed...
good to meet up with plenty of the regulars and a huge welcome to the new faces, been too long since i last did a run, hopefully i'll get along to another one soon.
night night

Thanks to John and Andy for the organisation and Flymo for back-marker duties. It was good to be out again even if I did leave early and my boots and gloves aren't dry yet! I have done far too few runs in recent times. Good to meet friends old and new.
And I managed to keep up with Reaper most of the way home - I know he wasn't trying but hey ho.

Hi everyone. A bit late but nonetheless a very sincere Thank You to John and Andy for the detailed preparation and marvellous final route for this run. Such a shame that only us pillions managed to see a bit more than those "up front". Can't wait to return in better weather and re-run this route and take in all the wonderful views.
It was lovely to see familiar faces and also to meet the newcomers. Hope to see you all again soon.
A piccie or more to follow, hopefully.
All the best
Carol & Ade
