help, my friend has informed that 1,2 is not good, and third gear wont go in at all , where do i look what do in do . take the cover off (behind the gear selector) and make sure the spring is in good condition this can weaken not allowing the selector to return to central stopping selection of gears also when was last oil change as this can also affect gear selection

thanks max, we been tryin to get wheel off the back , but spindle will not come out You have slackened the pinch bolt I take it? One or two reports recently of stuck rear spindles, usually fast in the rear brake hanger. Persevere with a big 2@tting hammer it'll move eventually, might help to support it on the opposite side with a large socket or similar over the end of the spindle, helps the 'shock' affect to be where you need it.

Undo the brake caliper bolts & swing the rear brake caliper out of the way. Tie it out of the way.
With the spindle nut off, & the pinch-bolt on the end of the swingarm well loosened, you can now 'swing' the brake caliper mount a little up , a little down, most likely needing a whack with a mallet, back & forwards a bit, to start with, to help break the corrosion bond between the hole on the brake caliper bracket & the spindle which passes through it.
That was the issue with mine - brake caliper arm corroded onto the spindle.
HTH.

Don't understand, can you clarify. Thought you had a gearbox problem, from you first post you mentioned not being able to select certain gears. Are you now saying it is a driveshaft problem ?

Seems a bit drastic before you know for certain what's wrong.
I would start by investigating the clutch/, plates, cable etc all can affect your gearchange problems.
If it is necessary to inspect the gear box you can still do most of it without taking the engine out, certainly to ascertain if you have a gear selector fault.
Have you got a haynes manual, shows you how in there.
