When. Sunday 9th June Start point. Grove. Oxfordshire. End point. South of Lincoln. Details. Starting at Grove, collecting Martin as a pillion and then joining others along the way and relaying Martin towards Trev's abode so that he can collect his D9.
Any takers?

This feels like a game of pass the parcel. Resist the urge to unwrap a layer at each handover

Could this be a less attractive prospect than passing Keith's dirty washing around ? If you don't mind, it was a bag of clean clothes, (don't know or care whose they were but at least I can now change me undie crackers ) On the topic of pass the parcel I would have volunteered my services for relaying Martin/ Martins bike, but for the fear of being left high and dry on the side of the road whilst marking the junction for Clive to turn. (I believe it has happened before were a rider has took a turn before he should have and as a consequence left some poor soul stood twiddling his thumbs before being gathered up and welcomed back into the fold ) can't recall who or on which run a rider was left marking a junction but had no one wanting to use the said junction. but I can say I would have gone and left my station long before being missed. I certainly would not have liked to be left there holding my helmet for an hour or two. I will say good luck on your venture to re-unite a man and his bike. Regards Keith

I see what's happening here - a terrified m40man rides his D9, on which his last ride lasted 12 miles before breaking down, 200 miles home. Are you providing out-rider support & can I borrow Trev's waders <insert scary smiley here cos they don't work on Android> ?
Regards the leg from Groovy Grove, mrsm40man is working Sat night, so I can't ask her to drive Sunday morning after an 11 hour nightshift & she won't get home 'til around 9:45am anyway. Methinks, a kind gesture as it is from the volunteers, that the plan isn't really practical. I foresee lots of waiting about by my rides, plus a late run home for me.
So I suggest we call it off & I arrange to get myself up there by some other means, yet to be determined. Thank you for the offers.

Don't worry billy no mates, at the risk of ruining my bike repairing status I am prepared to ride the offending veeehickle all the way to Groovy Grove if that's what it takes to get this pos off my hands to save you resorting to donning your mankini and stand on the A43 thumbing a lift.

Flymo As it's about 45 mins to Peterborough from my place and about 40 mins to Trevs from mine, if we can get martin to just a little north of Peterborough(Market Deeping maybe) , I am more than happy to take him up to the man in the Fens, to retrieve his bike. I'll be there for 09:30, just before the A47 roundabout, on the A43, in the layby on the right.

So do I, I reckon I'll be hung if I arrive back at mine on a green D9 ...again Cause/remedy ? Don't want to tempt fate but perhaps all will be revealed when/if the green beast is finally hankered down in Wantage
