Hi Guys,
The clamp which attaches the 2into1 into the silencer (techy description! ) has rotted of.
Can I just get a new clamp or is it better to replace the collector (2into1 bit) ?
Also where do I get them and whats the proper name :-)
Cheers

If there is enough of the collector in place you can effect a repair by clamping an old beer can round it, with exhaust-putty (gun gum) inside and jubilee clips round the outside. Worked for me for a year till I got a new 4-1 system from Sandy. It may not be pretty, but who's looking down there?

Hi All,
Bumping this again as I didn't fix it before :-(
Having used the bike fairly heavily these past few weeks it is now blowing. Looks like it has rotted under the clamp that holds the silencer onto the 2into1 pipe.
Am I right in thinking that's a new shiny exhaust I need or has anyone repaired these before ?
Thanks in advance
Adbru

Bumping this again as I didn't fix it before :-( Is that because you didn't have a beer can to hand so never got round to it? Or you did, but the bodgetastic solution failed?? I 'fixed' my 600 at the same point by wrapping with exhaust bandage then beer can over that, then a couple of hose clamps to keep it in place.
