My Tom Tom One has given up the ghost. I've been using it for about 7 years, in the car and on the bike. It's been a decent buy too, never giving any trouble, but now it has refused to accept a charge. It shows a red bar in the battery level indicator.
Looking on't net I found a site advertising batteries and also a video describing how to replace one on this model. So I've ordered one.
I am tempted to buy a new Sat Nav, maybe another Tom Tom but with one that takes an SD card as the existing internal memory in mine is rather small at 512mb, too small to store Europe maps with UK maps installed.
But thought it would be interesting to have a go at replecing the battery on the One first. I'll keep you posted.

The battery finally arrived, from Hong Kong!
I'll post further after the install.

The battery finally arrived, from Hong Kong! Glad to hear it, would have been sadly ironic if that particular item got lost. BTW I have to change the battery in my TT Rider one, so am very interested to hear about your experiences.

Apologies for the delay in replying, completely forgot! It was an easy job if a bit fiddly with those tiny screws. But with care in lifting the pcb and putting at aside it was a doddle really. Straight swap. Forgot to take any pics too!
