Searching the net for oil for my Ford Focus today. It uses 5W-30 and Ebay was coming up with it at about £29/£30 plus varying amounts for P&P.
But found Amazon offering Castrol Magnatec 5W-30 for £21.95 and free P&P!
Result ;D

There is absolutely no point using fully synthetic oil in a Diversion. The engine is a low tuned "basic" machine and the 900 tends not to be revved much (or mine didn't) due to plenty of torque. Only a "modern track screamer" gets any benefits from fully synthetic. A decent oil like the Silkolene you mention or Motul 350744061514 at £24.99 oil and filter is perfect. Anything else is a waste of money. Rowlf

Changing it regularly is more important, I change it yearly, but I am not hard on oil, as I never do short journeys, my fazer managed 7k miles between its last change, should have been changed at 6k, but I only used it for about 20 days, oil came out as golden as it went in!

For info - the last time I was in Hein Gericke near Oxford I was told that their own brand oil is made by Motul.
