thanks to Roger Fiasco & Flymo for back marking Duties and to Martin For sorting a route Fixed it for ya After deciding only yesterday that i would turn up, managed to find H's cafe without too much trouble, breakky was great, the run was interesting and in true M40Man style we even had a u-turn ;D a bit of mud and a bit of gravel in places but apart from Max and Chele leaving early ( hope your feeling better Chele) it was un-eventful but enjoyed by all Thanks to Trev for the route back to the M1 was much more interesting than the A43 that i would have otherwise been on. Good to meet up with everyone again Flymo

Disappointing I was expecting the usual Jan Jolly cock ups but apart from 1 U turn & riding round in circles to see a hill with fish in it, I missed it BTW, no frost snow or rain even the fog was much better than my run up & we even some some blue sky & sun. Many thanks to Martin & the back markers but this is not what we have come to expect Trust all made it home safely I have just got in it was a 360 mile round trip & the Harley seems to be running better than ever may be it liked the Italian tune up it got today rather than the last owner who only seemed to ride it to the MOT station & back for its annual outing, & it made it back without a fill up so sticking below 80 seems to get over 100 miles to reserve unlike on the way up when I probably only got about 80 MPG. Just waiting to take Mrs Mud to work then bath & pub for me. Neil

Wow - so many of you made it home before I did, I must have been holding you up all day ! 'twas great to see you all today, sorry about the foggy bit, but otherwise not bad at all for January . Thanks Dave & Andy for excellent back-marking duties. I thought Fish Hill was worth a go each way, and that u-turn was just to keep up with tradition . Can't wait for the next one now .

Thanks Martin, a cracking day out, just what the Doc ordered after a stuffy wet Christmas. Great route I thought, and everyone was very well behaved on what for many was the first ride for a while combined with some slimy muddy roads. Martin must have heard me say to Flymo at the antiques shop how clean my bike was looking considering the roads, he then found the wettest, muddiest roads back to home territory!! Great to see everyone again and to meet Ian (nice bike BTW), real shame Max and Chele had to dip out early on, hope you feel better Chele x Here's to 2013 and some great runs Dave

Began with a ride down to that Ori tuncs to keep the old boys new purchase on the road with a spare starter for his D9, fresh brew and a couple of bacon butties before heading to groovy Grove. . As ever, Martin and Chris were the perfect hosts, lovely veggie tea of a Waitrose baked potato, beans and cheese, washed down with a couple of bottles of your xmas brew selection. Then pack Chris off to work so the boys could play. A few, 5, games of pool, can't remember who won , about the same number of pints on a walk/crawl around the Grove, bus home, then topped off with a glass of home made sloe gin. Needless to say, thick head this morning . Not too worry the perfect remedy was afoot, lovely ride out around the Cotswolds in the fresh air with a bunch of special people. Thanks for a great weekend to kick the run season off Martin. If all the runs are as good this year, it'll be a cracking season.

Led our glorious leader home through the murk (note to self - must get those headlights adjusted) and was rewarded with yet another cuppa in Groovy Grove - many thanks Martin for a grand day out.
And, no, I made it home without having to pop behind a hedge.

late reply...BUT.. really enjoyable day out yesterday, nice roads, some interesting algea growing down the middle of some! thanks to Martin and the back markers for looking out for us all day. Nice of the rich southern run leader to supply free tea and cake at the early afternoon stop. (DON'T EXPECT THIS ON THE WWW RUN EITHER ) road conditions certainly make you think more about your riding technique, and sure helps hone rusty skills! ;D strangest moment, for me.... following an mX5, open topped!!! driver with cap on, but couldn't make out the passenger, but knew there was one.... then as we overtook....it was a dog, ( four legged variety) seat belt on, and wearing a baseball cap, seating up ...really odd! thanks matt for company on our quick blast home.
