I was just thinking about having a bacon cob at CMC Clay Cross on Sunday 23rd June or therabouts and riding the long way home. Don't know if anyone would be interested in having a ride along the same roads around the same time and having a chat at the end. Any comments. John & Andy

Now if you were suggesting a nice Veggie roll & then a run around your locality, I'd be interested . ......... I've missed too many Derby Runs runs around Derbyshire recently .

I'm sure we can sort out a veggie roll, nut cutlet, or mushroom doodah to suit your tastes Martin, no problem. You might even like a glass of the finest Buxton spring water that is renowned for keeping people on the move.

i think by that time i will have been able to shed the excesses of Xmas (ok then the excesses of the last year or 2 ;D) and have room for a bacon buttie(or 2 ;D) and it would be roood not to go for a bimble in the local Vicinity

I like bacon baps (cobs / butties / rolls / barms) and could well join in and take the long way home.

Hi All Done a bit of work on the run this weekend and decided the first P and fag stop will be the Derwent dam visitor centre as its the 70th aniversary of the Dambusters raid this year and Derwent was their practice ground, so anyone interested can have a look at the dam while others take 5. The planned lunch stop will be The Duke of York pub at Pomeroy between Buxton and Ashbourne. The landlord welcomes bikers as he is one himself and anyone wishing to see the place and food on offer can visit the web site at www.thedukeofyorkpomeroy.co.uk . Unfortunately we found that some of the roads on the original proposal will be closed at the time of the ride so we have some more work to do and may do a proper practice this sunday if all things come together, so I will post some notification closer to the week end if we are doing a practice run in case anyone wants to come along. In the meantime we welcome any comments. John & Andy.

Whole of the family at Ibis near Chesterfield, after an enjoyable lunch at the Newark Barge and cross country bumble. On starting blocks to venture to the Treble Bob pub across the car park, minimal crawling distance. See all you peeps tomorrow.

I live about ten minutes walk from CMC and I wouldn't venture out there today, it's hammering down. It's brightened up now, might even venture outside after dinner

As it happens a canoe would have been suitable transport for this run.
