Hi Guys, hope everyone had a great xmas and ready for the new year!
Looking to do a short tour around Normandy and possibly Brittany in March or April, visit to the war graves is on the cards.
Does anyone have any decent digs we could use whilst over there and any recommendations on eating places.
Thanks in advance.
Happy New Year 2013
Steve

An area well worth visiting. Though last time I was there was 1977.

I've booked to visit Normandy in July with a friend on my D9 and his Fazer 6. We are having 3 days watching the Tour de France then a couple of days visiting the beaches before returning to the UK. We always use F1 hotels in France, theres plenty of them and they usually cost about £40 per night between us (including breakfast) Last summer, we shared the F1 in Abbeville with a couple of dozen TDF promotion girls.........er, yes dear, it was awful. ;D

We did this trip a few years back as our first foreign bike experience - Hotel de Bayeux in Rue Tardif, Bayeux, is very bike-friendly - they will lock your bike up in the courtyard at night, and it's an easy ride from the D-Day Beaches, especially Arromanches and the US cemetery at Omaha Beach.

Don't forget Fergie, one our members runs a B&B in Brittany. It's featured in the recommendations section of the forum.
