My D9 doesn't have the rear mudguard extension fitted, resulting in lots of water spray flicking up onto the rear of the bike and top box. Does anyone have one they can sell me? It's the bit that extends below the number plate and has the reflector fitted.
Or, any suggestions for an alternative?

I would prefer the original part, but a car mat from the pound shop seems like the thrifty way to go. I'll give that a try first, if it looks crap I'll consider spending some of my hard earned cash.

Some sheet aluminium cut and folded should be neater.

Pretty much the only part that is! I took it off both my 600N's because I thought it looked naff. Anyway, a topbox catches all the crud. Had to rig up a reflector for the MoT, as the one on the topbox doesn't count, apparently. But hardly difficult. Ditto with the Thundercat.

Agree they look carp but grit down my neck wasn't too cool. Shame the huggers don't wrap close right around the wheel.

I think I'll try something shorter than the original, just to keep a bit of the dirt off the back. Can't see my better half being too happy about getting covered in mud.
