On the weekend, a mate & I went to North Wales for a two day ride out. Great to be able to get out on the old girl with lovely weather We covered Llanidloes, Porthmadog, Llyn Peninsular, Llanfair PG, Beumaris, Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Llanrwst, Llangollen and then down through Newtown following the road to Crossgates and then home via Brecon. It was 11.30pm when I got home, was well and truly Kn******d but grinning from ear to ear ;D Total 0f 440 miles

I'm not jealous. Much. Looks like a great route, my Mum & Dad used to live near Llanrwst when the old boy was alive, been a few places around that way

If we are considering a Welsh weekend next year, can I suggest this place for the overnight stop? www.activityuk.com/About 16 miles from Abergavenny, where we met up for the welsh run weekend before last. They have a camping field, but the best things they have are two bunkhouses which are literally centuries old and have been very well converted. They are really good venues for a group weekend.

How far to the beer a very important thing for a Divi run

The New Inn at Bwlch is about 2 miles south - I haven't sampled its delights, but a kayaking club my son is in gives it a very good report.
There is also a place called the Star Bunkhouse just across the road from it, but I don't know nuffink about that.
