if youre ever in llandovery on a regular basis and fancy a different route (not for thrashing, too many sheep), head up the A483 llanwrtyd road for a good few miles till you see the cynghordy sign. turn right opposite the glanbran cafe (big white building) marked Tirabad. ride for approx 5miles to the village and turn right sgnposted llywel. ride along for around 1/2 mile and turn right.(this road is sometimes closed due to military practice) ride along this road without turning off and you can see some magnificent views of the beacons. the road comes out on the A40 opposite the abandoned motel that you normally whizz past. then its either back to llandovery or wherever the wind takes you.
